What is this?
A Mother Blessing Ceremony (traditionally called the Blessingway Ceremony) is a deeply meaningful ritual created to honor mothers-to-be.
Different to modern day’s baby showers, which focuses primarily on the child, this ceremony centers around offering the mother herself love and support. In essence, to create a “path of blessing” for the mother-to-be, witnessing her important rite of passage transitioning from maiden to mother.

A simplified rundown of a Mother Blessing Ceremony looks like:
Circle opening
Guided rituals (examples include the Red Thread ritual, receiving collective blessings, adorning mother-to-be)
Circle closing
Sharing of nourishing food or snacks
Each mentioned element will be explained and discussed beforehand, so we can modify them (especially the guided rituals) according to your preferences.

Yes and no!
During the planning stage, you will have 1 call with Casey + her ongoing support up until the day of the ceremony via Whatsapp. You should then have a clear idea on how much planning is needed, which you’re welcome to invite the help of friends and family. Alternatively, Casey can also help you with the process.

A Mother Blessing Ceremony emphasizes on the emotional and spiritual nourishment that it offers to the mother-to-be. For this reason, the ceremony is innately “spiritual”.
That being said, it is possible to modify different elements according to what you feel comfortable with, which should be discussed with Casey beforehand during the initial meeting.
